Do I need to pay?
Yes. You need a Makernice account with a prepaid balance; there's no subscription. Every run is priced before it starts, and the charge equals that price.
Are failed runs charged?
No. Failed and timed-out runs release the held amount in full. If a finished output is blocked by output moderation for a policy violation, the run is still charged.
Can the AI spend my money without asking?
Every generation carries a price limit you confirmed; if the price is above that limit or the per-job limit, nothing is created. Queued jobs can be cancelled.
