MakerNice Team · ·
Seedance 2.5 from ByteDance runs 4 to 30 seconds, lets you pick 480p to 4k and supports reference-to-video with up to 16 images. Kling 3.0 from Kuaishou runs 3 to 15 seconds, fixes resolution by variant and always includes audio. Both are called through the same MakerNice API. This comparison covers catalog facts only and does not rank output quality.

In the mode row, t2v is text-to-video, i2v is image-to-video, flf is first and last frame and r2v is reference-to-video. Both lines use the same quote, create and poll flow and the same request fields, so switching is mostly a change to the model field. A request valid for one can still be rejected by the other, because each model only accepts the fields and values it lists.
How long can a Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0 video be?
Seedance 2.5 accepts a duration from 4 to 30 seconds and Kling 3.0 accepts 3 to 15 seconds; if you leave duration out, both use 5. A single clip longer than 15 seconds is only possible on Seedance 2.5, while a 3 second clip is only possible on Kling 3.0.
Can you set the resolution on Kling 3.0?
No. Seedance 2.5 takes a resolution parameter with four options, 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4k, defaulting to 720p. The Kling 3.0 models take no resolution parameter at all; you choose the tier by choosing the variant. Kling 3.0 Pro is billed at 1080p, Standard at 720p and the 4K variant at 4k. Sending resolution to a Kling model is rejected with 400 invalid_request.
Which aspect ratios does each model accept?
For text-to-video, Seedance 2.5 accepts eight values: adaptive, 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9 and 9:21. Kling 3.0 accepts 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1 only. In image-to-video and first and last frame mode, neither model takes an aspect_ratio field, and Seedance 2.5 does not take one in reference-to-video either.
Does Kling 3.0 generate audio?
Yes. Every Kling 3.0 request, on Pro, Standard and 4K alike, comes with audio. Among all the models in the MakerNice catalog, only the Kling family is listed with built-in audio, so do not assume Seedance 2.5 or any other model returns sound.
Should you choose Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0?

- Pick Seedance 2.5 for clips beyond 15 seconds, a 4k option through the resolution parameter, ultrawide or 9:21 framing, or up to 16 reference images.
- Pick Kling 3.0 Pro or Standard when you want audio included and prefer a fixed resolution tier with no parameter to tune.
- Pick Kling 3.0 4K only for text-to-video at 4k with audio.
Prices are best read from live numbers: check the Pricing page, or request a quote with the exact model, duration and resolution you plan to use. The guide to choosing resolution and duration explains how those two fields shape a request.
