Prompt

2D animated illustration in bold graphic novel style, sun-bleached teal/coral/mustard palette, thick expressive lines. Sun-drenched Southern California street with a 90s skate/BMX vibe. Shot 1 (0–6s): Low, wide tracking at street level. Boy carves a hard turn past J’s Market, tires skidding, jacket streaming, palm trees streaking by. Shot 2 (7–12s): Close on his face. Focused, hair whipping. “Ocean Blvd” sign flashes past. Shot 3 (13–18s): Low angle on wheel and pedals. He pumps fast; slight camera shake; dust and pebbles kick up. Shot 4 (19–24s): Wide shot. He hits a curb ramp and pops a quick jump, jacket flares, pastel buildings and palms frame him mid-air. Shot 5 (25–30s): Tracking from behind as he lands and speeds down Ocean Blvd, one weave, then the camera pulls wide as he shrinks into the bright distance. Hold, fade to warm gold.

Make it yours

  • Keep the opening style line (palette plus line weight) untouched; it is what stops the colours drifting between the five shots.
  • To make a 15-second version, keep only Shots 1, 3 and 5 and re-time them to 0-5s, 5-10s and 10-15s.
  • For a vertical cut change the aspect ratio to 9:16 and swap the Shot 4 wide frame for a low angle so the jump stays in frame.
