How do you make a text-to-video clip on Makernice?

Use the web console for a few clips without code, or the API for apps and batches. Both use the same models, the same prices and the same prepaid balance.

In the browser (no code)

Sign in and top up your prepaid balance (from $15; it never expires).
Open Create → Video, choose Text to video, pick a model, then set the duration and aspect ratio and write the prompt.
The price appears before you press Generate. Download the clip when it's ready; finished files are kept for about 30 days.

Quote: POST /v1/generations/quote returns the exact amount, holds nothing and locks the price for 12 minutes.
Create: POST /v1/generations with the quote_id, the same input and an Idempotency-Key header. The quoted amount is held from your balance.
Poll GET /v1/generations/{id} until status is succeeded, or add a top-level callback_url to get a webhook. Then download outputs[0].url.

Which Makernice video models support text to video, and with what limits?

All 13 video models accept mode t2v, and Kling 3.0 4K does text to video only. Clips run from 2 seconds on Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime and Kling 4.0. Kling 3.0 Pro, Kling 3.0 Standard, Kling 3.0 4K and Happy Horse 1.1 cap the prompt at 2,500 characters; the other models take up to 4,000.

What should a Makernice text-to-video request include?

mode: "t2v", model and prompt. No image fields: text to video starts from the prompt alone.
duration inside the model's range. Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime start at 2 seconds; the others start at 3, 4 or 5, so a short clip built for one model can fail on another.
Leave out resolution on Seedance 2.0 Fast, Kling 3.0 Pro, Kling 3.0 Standard and Kling 3.0 4K: they render at one fixed tier.
Changing the model, resolution, duration or an optional parameter needs a new quote; editing the prompt or the aspect ratio does not.

Does the aspect ratio or prompt length change the price of a Makernice text-to-video clip?

No. A text-to-video clip is priced by the model, the resolution and the seconds you request. The aspect ratio and the prompt length are not part of the price, and the quote shows the exact amount before anything runs.

Can every Makernice video model take a 4,000-character text-to-video prompt?

No. Kling 3.0 Pro, Kling 3.0 Standard, Kling 3.0 4K and Happy Horse 1.1 accept up to 2,500 characters; the other video models accept up to 4,000. A longer prompt is rejected with a 400 error when you ask for the quote, and the console shows the limit for the model you pick.

Which Makernice video model does text to video only?

Kling 3.0 4K. It renders at a fixed 4K tier and takes no image input. The other 12 video models also animate images in at least one other mode.

Does Makernice charge for a failed text-to-video generation?

No. Creating a run holds the quoted amount. If the generation fails, times out or is canceled while queued, the hold is released in full. Quality is not a failure condition: a delivered video is charged, whatever you think of it. Note: if a finished output is blocked by output moderation for a policy violation, the run is still charged. You can contact support for a manual review.
