Window Peeper AI Video Generator

A Window Peeper AI video turns one photo into a short vertical clip: at night the camera pushes in on the only lit window of an apartment block, where you sit alone with a burger, savour a big bite and chew while staring blankly out at the camera. Then you realise you're being watched, put the burger down, shoo the watcher away and pull the curtain shut. It works with you, an adult who has clearly agreed, or your own pet. You see the price first, and it's a staged joke, not real surveillance.

How to make it

  1. 01

Upload one photo of one person or pet. It's a reference image, so the night-window scene is generated around them, not your room.

  2. 02

Pick a resolution and review the quote. It locks the price for 12 minutes.

  3. 03

Generate and download. The clip carries the trend's background sound: before posting, check you can use it on your platform or swap in a sound you're licensed to use, and label the post as AI.

FAQ

What happens in a Window Peeper clip?
One continuous shot from outside, through the window glass, with a slight handheld drift. The camera starts on the dark front of an apartment block at night and slowly pushes in on the only lit window. Inside, your subject sits alone at a small table holding a burger in both hands, closes their eyes on the first big bite, then chews slowly with a blank, unbothered stare straight at the camera. Suddenly they realise they're being watched: they put the burger back in its box, stand up, wave the watcher away with an annoyed shoo, grab the dark curtain and pull it across, glaring out until it covers the view.
Can I use my cat or dog?
Yes, if it's your own pet. Your pet keeps its own body, species, fur and markings from the photo and takes the seat at the table, burger and all. A sharp, front-facing photo with the whole head visible works best.
Who can be in it?
Use a photo of yourself or of an adult who has clearly agreed to appear. No minors. No celebrities, politicians, or public figures, and don't use someone's photo to pretend to be them. Don't upload footage of a real neighbour's window, and label the post as AI.
What's the background sound?
The clip uses the sound of the trend's reference video as its background track, so it sounds like the original. Makernice doesn't give you any rights to that sound. Before posting, check that it's available to you on your platform, or mute it and pick a sound you're licensed to use.
Will the burger box show a brand?
No. The template asks for a plain burger box and paper bag with no brand names or logos, and removes watermarks, usernames and on-screen text from the reference.
What photo works best?
One subject, facing the camera, shoulders up or waist up, with a calm or serious expression, even light and a sharp face. Avoid side profiles, sunglasses, heavy filters, big smiles, group shots and blurry or cropped faces.
Does the video have sound?
Yes. The model always generates audio and it can't be turned off. Mute or replace it in your editor if you need a silent clip.
How much does one video cost?
The price is shown on the Generate button before you start, and the quote locks it for 12 minutes; every model's rates are on the pricing page. If the run times out, or you cancel it while it's still queued, the hold is released in full. Failed runs aren't charged. Note: if the output is blocked by output moderation, the generation is still charged. You can contact support for a manual review.
Can I make it with the API?
Yes. Send the template id window-peeper-ai-video with your photo URL to the quote and generation endpoints; see the API tab. The same key calls every model on the models page.
Is my photo used to train AI models?
No. Makernice doesn't use your content to train models.

Where the trend comes from

Recorded October 29, 2026

In October 2026, a night-window joke clip spread as an AI photo template: the camera creeps up on a lit window, someone mid-burger stares back, then shoos the watcher off and yanks the curtain shut. Most versions swap a different face into the same window shot.

This is an unofficial template inspired by the Window Peeper trend. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any rights holders of the original joke posts or related templates, or by any restaurant brand. It's a staged joke: label your post as AI, and never film or upload a real neighbour's window. The background sound comes from the trend's reference clip, and Makernice doesn't grant you any rights to it. Check your rights before posting, or mute or replace the audio in your editor.
