A Little Girl Meets a Giant Robot in the Rain
Fantasy & sci-fi · Seedance 2.5 · @laviniavelle ·
A 25-second photoreal sci-fi fantasy prompt set in a rainy European village square: a girl in a purple hooded cloak plays with palm-sized robot spiders on a café table until a towering blue-eyed robot walks out of the fog, kneels and opens its glowing hand to receive her daisy.

Why it's adapted
The original is a 689-character paragraph of run-on sentences with no timing, posted with a 25-second clip at 1280×720 that may have been upscaled. Because 25 seconds sits inside Seedance 2.5's single-request range, the adaptation stays one continuous clip: it splits the action into five five-second beats, fixes the cast in a Characters line, and replaces the photoreal 4K wording with concrete lighting, since this page renders at 720p. Run as written, it produces a single 25-second 16:9 clip from text, with no images to upload.

Shot breakdown
- Subject
- A girl of about seven in a purple hooded cloak, three palm-sized robotic spiders with brass legs, and one towering robot of weathered steel plates with round glowing blue eyes. The tiny machines come first and set up the giant one, so the jump in scale lands harder.
- Action
- The story grows from small to big: spiders on the table, a daisy picked up, one spider walking onto her finger, footsteps rippling the puddles, the robot emerging and kneeling, and finally the daisy laid in its open palm. That handover gives the last five seconds a clear payoff.
- Camera
- Opens on a table-top close-up, moves to a shallow-focus shot of the girl against café bokeh, pans across the square for the reveal, drops to a low angle for the kneel and ends on a slow push-in that holds on her face.
- Style
- Photoreal rain at dusk: wet cobblestones mirroring warm café windows, drifting fog, detailed metal with water running off the plates, and a soft dramatic contrast between warm shopfront light and the robot's cold blue glow.
- Sound
- Steady rain, distant café chatter, small servo clicks from the spiders, heavy footsteps and hissing joints from the robot, all under a gentle piano score.

Make it yours
- Rain and fog swallow detail, so keep the robot's eyes and hand as the only blue light in the frame; a second blue source tends to pull attention away from the handover.
- To replace the spiders with another small machine, such as a clockwork bird, rewrite both the Characters line and the 0-5s beat; otherwise the opening shot and the cast list disagree.
- For a dry-weather version, swap the rain for wet stones after a passing shower and drop the streaming-water detail from the 15-20s beat, but keep the café light for warmth.
FAQ
Will the rain and robot sounds be generated, or do I add audio later?
Seedance 2.5 outputs video with sound, and there is no switch to turn audio off, so the Sound line in the prompt is how you steer it. Name a few concrete sources, such as rain, servo clicks and footsteps; if you plan to add your own score afterwards, ask for quiet ambience instead of music.
How do I keep the same robot in a follow-up episode?
Switch to Seedance 2.5's reference-to-video (r2v) mode, which takes up to 16 reference images, and supply design stills of the girl and the robot; r2v supports the same aspect ratios as text-to-video. Keep the robot's wording identical to this prompt so the text and the images describe the same design.
Can I test the robot reveal with a shorter clip first?
Yes. Seedance 2.5 accepts durations from 4 to 30 seconds. Cut the prompt down to the 10-15s and 15-20s beats, renumber them 0-5s and 5-10s, and set both the first line and the duration to 10 seconds; once the robot looks right, return to the full 25-second version.
